Andrei Arlovski was born February 4, 1979 in Babruysk, Russia.
But was raised in Minsk, in present-day Belarus.
had a difficult childhood, he was constantly beaten by abusive school in 1994, with 14 years decided to train with weights to gain muscle and face them, but this was not enough.
At 16, Andrei Arlovski began training Martial Arts, playing football in parallel. As the
Sambo Martial Arts a quintessential Russian, Andrei trained in this art also was very interested in muscle development. After graduating
decided to join the police academy in Minsk where he too martial arts training , particularly in Sambo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu . In
Sambo, Andrei Arlovski became Champion World Youth in 1999, then won the silver medal at the Sambo World Cup and later also won the silver medal at the Sambo Championship of the World.
His love of martial training led him to practice Kickboxing also supplemented his training in Sambo in the shock kicks. Feeling safe
as a fighter, Andrei Arlovski decided to venture into MMA powers .
As the April 9, 1999, at a young age participated in the M-1 MFC in St. Petersburg, Russia where he was defeated by KO by Viacheslav Datsik.
On 9 April 200, Andrei Arlovski beat Michael Tielrooy submission to the M-1 MFC in 1:25 min. in St. Petersburg. Roman
Zentsov then defeated by TKO in the M-1 MFC and so was champion of the heavyweight event.
On May 13, 2000, Arlovski knocked out John Dixson at the Super Fight.
On November 11, 2000 defeated by armbar submission with Aaron Brink in his debut at UFC 28: High Stakes in just 55 seconds., New Jersey.
On June 29, 2001 was defeated by TKO at UFC 32, Ricco Rodriguez in New Jersey.
March 22 lost to Pedro Rizzo by KO at UFC 36 in Paradise, Nevada.
On November 22, 2002, defeated Andrei Arlovski by TKO Ian Freeman at UFC 40: Vendetta in Nevada.
On September 26, 2003 Vladimir Matyushenko knocked out in the UFC 44: Undisputed in Nevada.
On April 2, 2004, Arlovski won by TKO to Wesley Correira at UFC 47: It's On! in Las Vegas.
On February 5, 2005 submission loss to Tim Sylvia at UFC 51: Super Saturday in just 47 seconds. in Las Vegas, winning the title of heavyweight champion.
On June 4, 2005 Andrei Arlovski won by TKO to Justin Eliers at UFC 53: Heavy Hitters in Atlantic City, defending his title.
On October 7, 2005 he knocked out Paul Buentello at UFC 55: Fury in 15 secs., Connecticut, defending his title again.
On April 15, 2006 was defeated Tim Sylvia by TKO at UFC 59 in California.
On July 8, 2006 lost against Tim Sylvia again, this time by unanimous decision at UFC 61 in Las Vegas.
On December 30, 2006 Andrei Arlovski knocked out Marcio Cruz at UFC 66 in Las Vegas.
On April 21, 2007 he defeated by unanimous decision over Fabricio Werdum at UFC 70 in Manchester, England.
On March 1, 2008, Andrei Arlovski defeated Jake O'Brien by TKO in the UFC 82 in Ohio.
On July 19, 2008 he knocked out Ben Rothwell at Affliction: Banned held in Anaheim, California.
On October 4, 2008 knocked Roy Nelson at EliteXC: Heat in Florida.
On January 24, 2009 was knocked out by Fedor Emelianenko in the Affliction held in California.
On June 6, 2009 lost to Brett Rogers by KO in the Strikeforce in Missouri.
On May 15, 2010 Andrei Arlovski Antonio Silva defeated by unanimous decision at Strikeforce in St. Louis.
On February 12, 2011 he lost by KO against Sergei Kharitonov at Strikeforce in New Jersey.
His record in the MMA is: 24 fights, with 15 victories and 9 defeats. Andrei Arlovski
is nicknamed "The Pitbull", measures 1.93 m. and weighs 110 kg., their fighting styles include: Sambo , Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu .
While their latest fighting in MMA tournaments has not been successful, Andrei Arlovski is a great fighter and can emerge surprising everybody is very good in the grappling and has a good handle on both feet fists as with his feet.
